Musician turned politician Hillary Kiyanga, also known as Dr. Hilderman, has expressed frustration against musicians for not backing him up in his bid for copyright law.
Hilderman explained that musicians betrayed him when they deserted him for the government during the fight for copyright law.
He said this has delayed the process because the government has instead focused on handouts instead of passing the law.
"I was betrayed by you musicians who refused to back me up in the bid for the copyright law. You chose to dine with Sevo, and you can see how the process has stalled. You should come out, and we fight for our rights instead of handouts," he partly said at the National Theatre during the mourning of musician Adam Mulwana.
