Lugogo Cricket Oval was historically a venue dominated by male artists until 2020, when Cindy broke the norm by staging her successful Boom Party concert.
Following Cindy, Winnie Nwagi set the venue ablaze in 2022, followed by Spice Diana, who held a concert there in January last year. Most recently, Sheebah also performed at the Oval in October of this year.
Now, Omega 256 says she is inspired by these trailblazing female artists to take on the challenge of performing at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
She expressed her admiration for the women who paved the way and believes it is now her time to follow in their footsteps.
"Cindy staged a successful concert there, and so did Winnie Nwagi and Sheebah. I want to take up this challenge because they have inspired me. They showed us the way as female artists, and I am confident of success," she explained.
Omega's concert is scheduled to take place in May next year.
