Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs Hon. Dr. Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi has criticized the organizers and sponsors of Dexta Daps’ recent show, calling it a “live porn show.”
In a tweet, Balaam condemned the event, organized by Swangz Avenue and Talent Africa and sponsored by Uganda Breweries, for its explicit content.
He demanded apologies from the sponsors and called on regulatory bodies like the UCC to enforce stricter standards.
“Why did leading companies like @UgandaBreweries sponsor such a show, disregarding our local artists and values? Ugandans deserve an apology for this blatant disregard of decency,” he tweeted.
The show, held at Lugogo Cricket Oval, sparked outrage after Dexta Daps brought a bed on stage and performed suggestive dances with Ritah Dancehall.
