Victor Kamenyo has clarified the circumstances surrounding his professional separation from singer Chosen Becky. Becky was previously signed to Kamenyo's management, where she enjoyed considerable success. However, she eventually decided to pursue a solo career, wanting to establish her own identity and step out from under what some perceived as Kamenyo's influence.
Despite leaving his management, Chosen Becky has consistently acknowledged Kamenyo's significant contribution to her musical journey.
Kamenyo himself stressed that their parting was amicable and handled professionally. He confirmed that all pre-booked performances were honored before Becky's departure, ensuring a smooth and legal transition.
"No," Kamenyo explained in a Sanyuka Television interview, "We did not separate as harshly as people claim. Everything was done legally. The shows we had booked at that specific time were also done to completion. We even kept our good relationship because when it comes to management, you don't own a musician, but rather you work together."
Kamenyo also addressed rumors of a romantic involvement with Becky, firmly stating that there was never any romantic relationship or advances made between them.
