Vodafone Uganda’s singing competition, WhatsApp mania ended on Thursday night and Elijah Kisakye took home the grand prize of an audio and video recording contract worth Shs 20 million Talent Africa and Deuces Entertainment Group.
In a four hour long grand finale hosted by Radio City’s MC Deedan, the 10 contestants took to the stage to musically convince the Judges that they deserve the grand prize.
At the end of it all, the judges; singer Peter Miles, Ken Daniels Kayongo, a renowned music producer and Swahili Nation singer, Moses Serugo, a seasoned critique of arts, and Rukh-Shana Namuyimba, the communications manager at Vodafone Uganda, announced Elijah Kisakye the winner of the competition.
The other contestants were Leornard Muka from DRC, Giga S, Ashley Gold, Penelope, Addres K, Oloya Joel, Winnie Kisa and Charlene Kasumba, who was the 1st runner-up, winning herself a recording deal with Talent Africa.
Guests at the Grand Finale, which took place at Jazzville, Bugolobi were also treated to an energetic performance from Peter Miles and Menshan.
