A few weeks back, Singer Irene Namatovu was treated to a surprise birthday party at tropical hotel In Masaka. Fellow singers of the De New Eagles production pulled funds to make the mega surprise a success.
While speaking on her birthday bash, she surprised her friends when she revealed that she doesn’t know her exact age. “My mum died when I was still young. I don’t know much about my birth date. I celebrate the date my grandmother told me. Even my husband doesn’t know my exact age” Irene said.
A source who attended the birthday bash revealed to us how the party was planned. “We tricked Irene that there was a UK based businessman who wanted her services. We told her that the man is in the country and wanted to meet her in Masaka to seal the deal. She planned for the journey and when she reached, she was taken to a room where all her friends, fans and relatives were waiting anxiously. When she saw them, she broke down and cried” source narrated.
