As you read this, former GoodLyfe singers Radio and Weasel are in tears thanks to Jose Chameleone. The “Amaaso” singers who recently buried the hatched with the Leone Island boss are now in a fight with Chameleone again. They accuse him of stealing their song called “Wale Wale”.
“He turned out to be worse than Jeff Kiwa who wanted to steal their property. He wanted their music and property. At least the former was only interested in their property and nothing else,” reads a report about this saga.
It all started with Chameleone making up with Radio and Weasel, this was followed by constant reminders that they have to trust him as their big brother to help them reach a greater level in their music careers.
They then agreed to work together and planned on working on a total of four songs. The first one “Best I ever had” was released, the next one was “Wale Wale”. Apparently, Chameleone sneaked into studio and stole the song. It is now his latest song making rounds allover Uganda and across the border.
Weasel only discovered this when he was in a club and heard the song playing. He then listened carefully waiting for his verse but nothing came through, he then waited for Radio’s verse and nothing came through too. He was very surprised that his own brother had stolen and used their song.
A disappointed Weasel informed Radio about the betrayal and the two decided to cancel the four song project as well was stop any dealings with Chameleone.
“In-fact, by the time they did the Chameleone Unplugged show at Silk together, they had already fallen out, but they did it just to keep up appearances,” reads part of the report about the current Chameleone, Radio and Weasel relationship.
It is now back to the level zero. Radio, Chameleone and Weasel are fighting again. What is Ugandan music without beef anyway, let’s watch on and enjoy the show.
