The Ghetto Kids burst into the spotlight after featuring in Eddy Kenzo’s mega-hit song, Sitya Loss.

The song propelled their career and they have since graced both local and international stages.

Looking back, the dance group manager, Kavuma Daudi, says he is grateful for the journey so far.

The group was hit by tragedy years back when their key dancer, Alex passed on following a road accident.

According to Kavuma, the death of Alex, he thought was the end of their road as Ghetto Kids.

“We faced a lot of criticism from people who claimed that I had connived with Kenzo to sacrifice Alex to satanic gods to get musical success,” Kavuma said in an interview.

Kenzo, he says, talked him into gaining strength to move on and it is that strength that has kept them going.
