Artiste Gift Ov Kaddo is never pleased when he is referred to as a faded artiste. He believes he still got it, only that the media doesn’t give him a platform to showcase his talent.
“For many years, I have been trying to maintain the real vibe, but the industry and the people in the media keep trying to describe me as a failed artist. But when I compare my content with their favorite artists and what they play for the audience, I get disappointed. My fans keep saying my music is cool in their ears but the media doesn't like hearing that positive message,” he says
“I have many old songs and new albums online, but it’s still hard to fix my music on certain playlists. They play 50% of the West African music, ignoring our content,” he explains.
He says he is loved by fans but promoters don’t book him.
