Musician Gift ov Kaddo continues to live in his past. He refuses to accept that he is a faded artist.
He has not registered any hit song in over ten years but continues to brag that he is the biggest artist in East Africa - better than the most awarded East African singer, Eddy Kenzo.
Speaking in an interview with Spark TV, Gift of Kaddo revealed he only compares himself to Diamond Platinumz because most musicians are doing bubble gum music.
"I am East Africa's number one artist. I can write good music and I am even better than your big three artists. Not even Kenzo comes close. I think it's only Diamond Platinumz who comes close to me because the rest of the musicians just keep releasing bubble gum music," he said.
Gift of Kaddo is remembered for his collaboration with the late singer Mr. Ex called the "Traffic man" officer.
