Musician Kapa Kat may not be a mainstream star, but she commands a fee of 1 million shillings to perform at shows, according to her own words.
Kapa insists that her price is non-negotiable, and promoters seem to have no objections.
"There have been instances where I charged up to 6 million for a show in Kampala," she says.
Kapa attributes her ability to charge such high fees to the rapid growth of her brand.
"Before I had a hit, I used to charge between 200k and 250k. After my first hit, my fee went up to 600k. But now that I have more hits, my fee has increased to a million," she claims.
Kapa is best known for her song "Sikyo."
