Musician Irene Ntale has opened up about why she declined to join the Uganda National Musicians Federation.
Ntale explained she doesn't understand what the UNMF stands for. She is not sure of their aspirations and why it was formed.
Ntale says when she was invited to the federation, they failed to explain its objectives to her, and that's why she declined to join.
She was also shocked that its president demanded musicians sleep at Serena Suites.
"I don't know what they are federating about, and I failed to understand its objectives when I went there. They invited me to join through my management, but I failed to get to know its objectives. Additionally, they demanded I sleep there, something I really found interesting, and that's why I declined to join," she partly said in an interview with a local YouTuber.
Ntale says she will only join when the objectives are clear.
