Vyper Ranking is throwing down the gauntlet. The dancehall star has boldly scheduled his concert on the same day as legendary musician Dr. Jose Chameleone.
No stranger to making waves, Vyper Ranking held a press conference yesterday, surrounded by fellow artists like Ykee Benda and Ziza Bafana, to announce his big plans. He's bringing the party to Kireka, his hometown, on August 31st, a direct challenge to Chameleone's silver jubilee celebration at Serena Hotel.
The "Tebimala" singer is keeping it real, admitting that his hit list isn't long enough to carry a full concert. He's invited a crew of other artists to join the lineup, especially up-and-comers, to keep the energy high.
When asked about the scheduling clash with Chameleone, Vyper Ranking played it cool, claiming he was unaware of the other concert. He's confident that their different venues will attract different crowds.
“I decided to put my concert in Kireka because it’s where I grew up and my music journey started. For Chameleone having a concert on the same day as me, I didn’t know. However, our venues attract different classes of people.”
