Tamale Mirundi passed away last night at Kisubi Hospital in Kampala. He was 60 years old.

One of the people who spent a significant amount of time with the deceased is Kasuku, a media personality who hosted the former presidential press secretary on his YouTube channel, where they discussed a wide range of topics.

Speaking about the deceased, Kasuku revealed that the country has lost a fine journalist who never feared speaking truth to power.

"Tamale Mirundi was the finest journalist we had left. Others just complicate language and make it seem like good journalism. Currently, I think we have five more who are not bootlickers," he said in an interview with Spark Television.

Kasuku added that Tamale Mirundi will be celebrated by intellectuals because they relate to his discussions and believes the controversial side of his life will not overshadow the good person he was.

"Tamale Mirundi Sr. will be celebrated by intellectuals because they understand him. Those who are swayed by controversial statements may not fully grasp who he was," he added.

Kasuku also promised to take responsibility for Tamale Mirundi Junior, claiming the father left him in his care.

"After this interview, I am going to look for Tamale Junior since the father left him in my care," he said.
