Veteran singer Abdul Mulaasi plans to stage a concert next year at Serena Hotel, but financial struggles have posed a challenge.
He sought support from the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) through Eddy Kenzo but was turned down. Kenzo reportedly accused him of betrayal due to a song praising Bobi Wine.
"When I sought financial support, Kenzo said I betrayed them with my song supporting Bobi Wine. But I’m still part of the Federation," Mulaasi said.
Despite the denial, he remains committed to UNMF and is negotiating with promoters to make his concert a reality.
