In late November, General Salim Saleh, the coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation, stopped creatives from seeking monetary gains from him.
He advised artists to seek help from their industry leaders.
Now, media personality Douglas Lwanga believes the government should provide Eddy Kenzo with a budget to cater to the needs of musicians.
The NBS After 5 host explained that Kenzo should be allocated funds to support musicians since they can no longer receive money from Salim Saleh.
“This implies that @eddykenzoficial and @unmfederationug will need a budget to support events, as artists traveling to Gulu to seek support for their concerts have now been prohibited,” he wrote on X.
General Salim Saleh has supported musicians and the creative industry as a whole since the COVID-19 outbreak.
