Anti-corruption Court Judge, Justice Margaret Tibulya has set Tuesday October 4th 2016 as they day to start hearing the case in which former principal accountant in the office of the Prime Minister Geoffrey Kazinda is accused of illicit enrichment of up to 4.6 billion shillings.
Prosecution told court in Kololo that they were ready to present their evidence against Kazinda who is facing a whole lot of charges.
Kazinda was convicted for abuse of office, forgery and unlawful possession of government stores in 2013 and is in Luzira.
The inspector general of police accuses Kazinda of amassing wealth estimated at 4.6b shillings which is not commensurate with his known income as a civil servant.
His known income during the time from 2009 to 2012 according to the IGG was 83.7 million.
The accused maintained a luxurious lifestyle with a house in bukoto and land in Mengo worth3.1bn shillings.
