Police in Amuria district are investigating circumstances under which a 25 year old man was killed.
The deceased identified as Joseph Imalingat, a resident of Abarlela village, Abarlela Sub County in Amuria was found dumped in unfinished building within Abarlela market on Tuesday morning.
Before his death, the deceased was last seen in the company of three other people drinking at the market. He was last seen alive on Monday afternoon.
Michael Odongo, East Kyoga regional police spokesperson says initial investigations suggest the deceased may have been assaulted by the people he had a drink with.
Imalingat's drinking companions have not been seen since Monday afternoon. Police on Tuesday opened an investigation into Imalingat's death.
