Uganda police force has commenced investigations into the murder of a Chinese national identified as Young Yei Su, 50 years.
Su who has been a cashier at Nile Steel and Plastics Ltd Factory in Nangwa Village Nakisunga Sub County in Mukono district.
On the fateful night of 1st September 2017, two assailants gained access to the factory through the main gate towards the administration block pretending to be customers.
Police spokesperson AIGP, Asan Kasingye narrates that the assailants put the deceased on gun point demanding the money. She did not comply.
“During the struggle to grab the pistol, she managed to grab a jacket from the assailant. She was shot in the chest by the assailant, and was rushed to Namirembe Hospital for treatment, but unfortunately, she died on arrival. The assailants escaped using the motorcycle. We have arrested three people in relation to this incident” Kasingye said.
The suspects are Joseph Naruda aka Robert Kataala, Ogwal Francis a security guard at Global security company and Julius Katongole an employee of the company.
“We have recorded statements of witnesses, and recovered a video footage of the incident as well as other exhibits which we are using in the investigation? Kasingye added.
