The Uganda Police force has been directed to present two incarcerated journalists in court or immediately release them from custody.
The directive was issued by his worship Noah Ssajabbi of Nakawa Chief Magistrates Court this evening.
According to a letter seen by Howwe.biz, Ndawula Stanley and Ndawula Robert were arrested on 30th October 2017 and have since been held at Kiira Road Police Station and Jinja Road Police Station respectively.
Ssajabbi consequently directed they be produced in court immediately if there are any charges preferred against thm or be unconditionally released immediately.
The application for final disposal was filed by Ndawulas’ lawyer Nowamani Mark. The order was consequently given in the presence of Nowamani and the State.
