A total of of 101,131 candidates who registered for this year’s Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education are sitting their examination at 2,205 centres.
According to statistics from the Uganda National Examination Board, of the 101,131, 41,901 are female candidates constituting 41.4%.
This morning, students are sitting History paper 3 and 4 as well as Mathematics paper 1. In the afternoon, they will sit History papers 1 and 2 plus Mathematics paper 2.
During briefing on Friday, Candidates were warned against engaging in malpractice including smuggling answer sheets into examination rooms, copying from one another, prior knowledge of examination questions, and impersonation among others.
Candidates were also advised by UNEB executive secretary Dan N. Odongo to report directly to the board anyone suspected to be indulging in examination malpractice.
The examination ends on Tuesday 5th November 2017.
