Uganda police force has warned the public to desist from gathering at parliament tomorrow as legislators discus the infamous age limit Bill.

Addressing the press in Kampala this morning, Emilian Kayima the police spokesperson said whoever joins opposition MPs will be treated as a criminal, and arrested.
Police has heavily deployed in town ahead of the anticipated chaos tomorrow.

“We have found that quite a number of politicians have called upon a number of people to come to parliament as they debate the age limit Bill. None of these have notified the police to plan on that” Kayima said.

The police mouthpiece warned that members of the public risk getting arrested if they insist on participating in these illegalities.

“Ugandans are warned not to get involved in this because it will not help them. Let members of parliament debate and bring about the views that they gathered when they came to you. We shall stop them if they want a mob kind of gathering” He warned.

Tomorrow, parliament meets to consider a report by the committee on legal and parliamentary affairs which was concluded over the weekend. The opposition has therefore decided to organize members of the public to be on high alert for demos if things do not go their way.
