The Uganda Aviation police has arrested a Norwegian national for alleged possession of narcotic drugs Identified as Arntzen Karin Elizabeth 53 Years, the suspect was arrested at the baggage screening point.
According to a stamen from the Kampala metropolitan police, on searching the suspect, three polythene bags wrapped with a cello tape were recovered with suspected heroine weighing 3706 grams which has since been submitted to Government Analytic Laboratory Wandegeya for analysis.
Arntzen Elizabeth was intending to travel to Brussels aboard Brussels Flight SN 3169.
A case file AVPOL CRB 065/2018 has since opened and charged with unlawful possession of Narcotic drugs c/s 4(1) and 2(a) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Control) Act 2016.
Last month, at least 4 foreign nationals were arrested trying to leave the country, with heroin. They have since remained in police custody.
It should also be noted that two men died of drug overdose at Sheraton and Pearl of Africa hotels in Kampala.
