Uganda police force is mourning one of their own, detective AIP Mwesigye Hannington Robert who died in an accident on Easter Sunday.
Patrick Onyango, the police deputy spokesperson says Mwesigye who was attached to crime intelligence Kabalagala died when the vehicle he was travelling in, was involved in an accident at London College Maya in Mpigi district.
The accident occurred when motor vehicle Reg.No. UAH 324C Isuzu forward and UBB 261H Mark II were involved in an accident. The Mark II according to Onyango, overturned several times killing four of its occupants on the spot.
The deceased are driver of the car Richard 29, Sandra Zalwango 20, Nakimuli 19, and AIP Mwesigye Hannington Robert. The driver of the Isuzu forward is still on the run.
Meanwhile, one person died in Kibuku district on Saturday when a Toyota Hiace Reg.No. UBB 548B knocked him dead.The d
eceased, Kidege Anthony 45 passed on after reaching hospital in Mbale.
The car driver, Mawanda Ramadhan of Budaka district is in police custody.
