Love for a bottle has led to the downfall of one Charles Kukundakwe, the registrar of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party in-charge of Rubaya Sub County and Ryakarimira town council in Kabale district.
Kukundakwe has been sucked has been sacked over drunkenness and misconduct, and immediately replaced with Robert Byomuhangi.
According to a reliable party source, Kukundakwe has been a habitual drunkard and disobeying orders from his party bosses.
The Kabale district NRM registrar, Maurice Mugenga Keitaba argues that Kukundakwe's sacking is overdue as he has often absconded from duty and even failed to show up to draft the road map for the party campaigns for the candidates contesting in the newly created town councils.
He further says that Kukundakwe declined to appear before the district party disciplinary committee recently to defend himself against the accusations.
