Ugandas President Yoweri Museveni has on Monday morning received his South Sudan counterpart President Salva Kiir Mayardit for a meeting at State House, Entebbe.
President Museveni and his guest discussed areas of mutual cooperation between South Sudan and Uganda during the Monday morning meeting.
President Kiir thanked his host for facilitating the tripartite Summit meeting that took place on Saturday at State House Entebbe that was geared towards finding peace in South Sudan.
The tripartite Summit that was hosted by President Museveni, was attended by Presidents Omar el Bashir of Sudan and Salva Kiir of South Sudan.
The leader of the Sudanese Peoples Liberation Movement in Opposition, Mr. Riak Machar and other representatives of the opposition, were also in Entebbe for that meeting.
Though after the meeting it was said that a tremendous progress was made, the opposition said they needed more time to consult. Another meeting will take place on Sunday July 15 in Khartoum, Sudan.
