To mark 72 years in the alcoholic beverage industry, Uganda Breweries Limited, one of the oldest Companies in Uganda will be rewarding heroes whose initiatives in the community are impacting young people today.

The brewery through their social media pages are running a campaign that is calling on followers to nominate youth led projects in communities that are transforming the lives of the youth.

According to Ms. Rhona Arinaitwe, UBL Corporate Relations Manager, all the participants have to do is tell the most compelling story about the project which will then be voted for by followers on the company Facebook page. The winning projects will get a financial boost from UBL.

Commenting on why they are doing this project, Ms Arinaitwe said, “UBL is committed to be part of Growing Uganda. Each year, we incorporate a cause to give back to our local communities as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. This year as we celebrate 72 years in the brewery business, we decided to support some who shares our business value for we believe empowered youth today will bring a stronger Uganda tomorrow.”
