The police in Kampala have in custody two buglers that were arrested in Industrial area, forcing them to abandon a safe containing UGX 82 million they had stolen from a warehouse.
According to Police, the suspects attacked the warehouse premises belonging to Virony Finefair Uganda Enterprises LTD, located on 6th street industrial area at 1am on Tuesday morning, after surveillance and assessing the security weakness.
However, their efforts went to waste when Police foot patrollers, together with those in the mobile 999 patrol from Jinja Road station foiled their robbery. The UGX 82m is still intact and was handed over to the company administrators.
“Two suspects identified as Isaac Angura and Joseph Oluka born of Bukedea and Serere respectively are currently in custody at Jinja Road police station to assist with investigations in connection with the attempted office burglary” a statement from KMP reads.
