Humanity tends to misuse some products from their bodies not knowing they could be useful in a different way from what they believe. One of such products is human urine that can be used to build houses. Oh yes.
Students at a South African University say they have successfully created new environmentally-friendly bricks using human urine.
A group of students from Cape Town combined urine collected from men's toilets with sand and bacteria - in a process that allows the bricks to solidify naturally at room temperature.
These bright students also say an enzyme in the mixture breaks down the urine to produce calcium carbonate - a key component of limestone - which binds the other materials together.
Regular bricks need to be baked in high-temperature kilns that produce large amounts of carbon dioxide.
So hold on to pour that urine in your basin from last night, it could build you a house in future.
