A seed secondary school will be constructed by the ministry of education in the new district of Kikuube, after 700 million shillings for the project was wired onto the district account.
Kikuubenianone of the districts that became operational on 1st July 2018 having been curved off Hoima district.
The development was communicated by Robert Mulondo, the Kikuube district chief administrative officer who further revealed that they are only waiting for the community to provide land where the school will be constructed.
Communities in Kaseeta and Nkondo parishes who will benefit from the facility, have already agreed to solicit funds amounting to UGX 25m which will be used to buy 5 acres of land for the project, according to Vincent Alpha, the area LC5 councilor.
Currently, several p.7 candidates drop out of school due to lack of a secondary school affordable to parents. The district has now formed a 10 member committee to oversee the work on the project.
