A private security guard is in agony after unidentified thugs attacked and robbed him of a firearm in Hoima town.
The victim is identified as Moses Musani, a Private Security guard attached to Star React Security Company Limited. He was on duty at Sona pharmacy along Hoima-Fort portal road in Kahoora Division Hoima Municipality when he was hacked by the thugs at around 1:30am on Monday morning.
Musani sustained deep cuts on the head and the neck and was rushed to EDPA Medical Center where he is currently admitted. Speaking to the media from his sick bed on Monday afternoon, Musani says two unidentified men with masks hacked him before taking off with his Semi-Automatic Rifle registration number 28482.
Musani says that after attacking him and robbing his firearm, the thugs took off to unknown destination. Ezra Isiko, the in charge of Criminal Investigations Department at Hoima Central Police Station, says police has launched investigations into the robbery.
He reveals that police has detained Ambrose Turyatembe, the Supervisor of Star React Security Company limited for not adhering to government instruction of deploying two armed guards at one duty station.
