Speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga is still under doctors’ observation at Nakasero hospital. Kadaga was rushed to the hospital last evening due to fatigue related illnesses.
According to a statement released by Sam Obbo her press secretary this afternoon, the speaker was admitted soon after her return from what they termed as a “hectic working trip to Morocco” and the United States of America.
Kadaga while abroad is said to have advocated for better policies for women and children in Uganda and across the globe.
“Due to hectic work schedule, fatigue and jet lag, she has had to be admitted in hospital. We hope her privacy will be respected during this period” the letter reads.
There is a possibility that she will be flown out of the country for further medical attention.
