Former Manchester United star, Quinton Fortune is in Uganda courtesy of Kansai Plascon Uganda.
The South African, who enjoyed a 7 year spell at United, is in the country as part of a Kansai Plascon and Manchester United partnership that will also include a visit by United coaches later in the month for a two-day tutorship program with Excel Soccer Academy.
Fortune, who is also here as part of a reward for winners who took part in a Kansai Plascon radio and online activation for autographed Manchester United jerseys, has emphasized the importance of corporate sponsorship in sports development.
“It brings me joy whenever I see corporate companies investing in sports. There is an increase in the diversity of these brands. A while back it was only beverages, banks and sports brands that made investments in sports, but today Kansai Plascon, a globally renowned paint company is investing in sports. Everyone is appreciating the benefits of sports investment, and that’s great for aspiring sports men,” said Fortune.
