Two people have been shot dead after unknown gunmen attacked Cheap Hardware shop at Nansana Municipality Wakiso district.
The six thugs who were masked, armed and travelling on three unidentified motorcycles also left two other people injured.
According to a statement released by Patrick Onyango the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, three of the thugs were armed with AK 47 rifles.
“They shot dead two workers of the said hardware shop who were identified as Atuheire Jimmy the assistant manager and Aruho Frank. Two others were injured and rushed to Mulago hospital for treatment” Onyango adds.
According to Oyango, the thugs came at a time when the cashiers were about to take money to the bank. The thugs made away with unspecified amounts of money.
He adds that police investigators are already on ground and police is pursuing the robbers.
