The police in Bushenyi are searching for a priest, Rev. Nathan Rwankole (68), a resident of Nyabicere St. Kagwa Bushenyi central division, in Ishaka Municipality who has been missing for 10 days.
According to Martial Tumusiime the Greater Bushenyi Region Police Spokesperson, Rwankole has been missing for the last 10 days and his contacts are off.
The priest’s family members reported a case of missing person at Bushenyi Central Police Station after he disappeared without telling them.
Zakaria Rwankole one of the priest’s sons says his father was in good condition and wasn’t ill when he went missing. They suspect that he could have been kidnapped but none of them has received a call from kidnappers demanding for ransom.
Zakaria adds that his father had Shillings 600,000 on him at the time he went missing and had previously never left home without communicating to any family member.
The Bushenyi Central Division LC III Chairperson Steven Karuti says the missing priest was open minded and good at sharing, which worries them further.
He was last seen dressed smartly and the family thought he had gone to visit neighbors as has been his practice, but he has never been seen since.
