Police in Bushenyi have impounded a bus belonging to Poko Poko Bus company after it knocked two people dead in Bushenyi town.
According to the Greater Bushenyi Regional Police Spokesperson Martial Tumusiime, the accident which involved a bus and a motorcycle occurred last night at 10:30 pm at Kanyambare, in Kigoma ward in Kizinda town council.
Tumusiime says the deceased who were travelling on a motorcycle were knocked by a bus registration number UAM 682 H that was from Kasese heading to Kampala.
He also identified the deceased as Arnold Tumwesigye a resident of Nyampungye in Kyamuhunga sub-county and Patrick Ayebazibwe from the same area.
Tumusiime further attributes the accident to reckless driving of the bus driver.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to Kampala international University Teaching hospital in Ishaka town.
