Members of the public have been cautioned to avoid falling prey to fake PLE UNEB Exams being shared on social media platforms as they will only result into confusion if shared among students.
In a statement released this morning, Polly Namaye the deputy police spokesperson also cautioned schools not to pay for such.
Over the weekend, 6 people were arrested from the areas of Namugongo, Namungoona, Wakiso,and Nansana for selling these fake PLE exams.
The suspects have been identified as Eliphaz Magara, Stephen Efumbi, Micheal Mulindwa, Francis Walakira, Joshua Mazinga Ssemakula and Tom Okweny.
The six have been charged with fraud. UNEB Executive Secretary Daniel Odongo revealed on Sunday, that the suspects were approaching parents and asking them to pay between Shillings 400,000 to 10 million to access the Mathematics and Social Studies examination papers which candidates are sitting today.
The six suspects were arrested before any examination material could be transported to the field and they have been charged with fraud.
According to Namaye, security agencies are keeping a close eye on the examination processes to ensure there are no irregularities.
