Police have refuted claims by People Power boss, Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi, that his supporter a one Nabukenya Rita was knocked and killed by a patrol car on Monday morning.

Kyagulanyi wrote on his facebook page, that Nabukenya was chased and killed by a police patrol car because she was wearing people power colors.
“A very sad day! Yet again, police have murdered one of our solid leaders of the People Power Movement. Police saw Rita Nabukenya wearing People Power colours on a boda boda, run after her with a police patrol truck and knocked her dead” Bobi wrote.

However, a statement released by police this afternoon, indicates that Nabukenya was a victim of two motorcycles at Nakawa and instead, the patrol car helped rush her to the hospital, where she later succumbed to the wounds.
