Police in Kabale have arrested a mother for dumping her one day baby boy in a pit latrine.
It is alleged that on Sunday, Arinda Viola female juvenile 16yrs a saloon attendant a resident of Kansinga cell Burambira parish Kaharo sub county Kabale district produced a bouncing baby boy. However on Monday evening, she dropped the child in a pit latrine while wrapped in a polythene bag.

The child was rescued from the pit latrine and taken to Kabale referral hospital for medication and has since recovered.
Arinda was arrested on Monday and brought to Kabale Central police station for questioning and further management.
Elly Maate the Kigezi regional spokesperson says they’re investigating whether a case of defilement was reported against whoever impregnated the girl.
