Police in Kisoro have arrested in relation to the murder of one Mashekura Innocent a 25 year old resident of Mukungu village, Nyondo Sub County in Kisoro district.
Elly Maate the Kigezi regional police spokesperson says that on the 20/10/2020, at around 1600hrs, the deceased left home and went to Kentama trading center for a social evening but unfortunately did not come back.
The family members tried searching for him but in vain until 22/10/2020 when a report of missing person was made at Bukimbiri police post.
A search was mounted by police and the village mates leading to discovery of his body on 26/10/2020 in the waters of river Ruhezanyinda in the same village with multiple cuts on his head.
Police visited scene and retrieved body from the river, postmortem done, and statements recorded from relevant witnesses.
Police on Tuesday arrested three suspects; Niyonsenga Baker 19, Kamuhanda Evalist 21 and Musimenta wilson 19, all residents of Nyondo sub county, arrested to assist police in investigations.
The three suspects are the ones who were last seen with the deceased before he disappeared.
