Three people have died following an accident involving a vehicle, Reg no UAR 776V Toyota premio blue in color.
The accident occurred on Monday 30/08/2021 at about 1730hrs at Kebitakuri T/center, Kakore parish. Hamurwa s/county along Kabale Kisoro road in Rubanda District.
The deceased have been identified as Byaruhanga Micheal m/a 47yrs and his daughter Owaruhanga purity female juvenile 2 and a half years residents of Ntaranga village, Nyaruhanga parish, Ikumba s/county in Rubanda District and one other Tushabe lylen 45yrs of Rutoma village, Kashenyi parish, Bubare s/county, Rubanda District.
They all died on spot.
Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional Spokesperson says two other female pedestrians whose particulars could not be easily traced, are admitted at Rugarama hospital in Kabale District.
Postmortem was done and bodies were handed to their relatives for burial.
The car wreckage was towed and is currently parked at Rubanda police station pending IOV inspection.
Inquiries to the cause of Accident still in progress, while the driver is still on the run.
