Rukungiri police recover gun belonging to late Richard Agaba who was gunned down in Mbarara

The gun belonging to late Richard Agaba, the Officer-in-charge Ruharo Police Post who was killed last month in Mbarara has been recovered by officers in Rukungiri district.

The gun belonging to late Richard Agaba, the Officer-in-charge Ruharo Police Post who was killed last month in Mbarara has been recovered by officers in Rukungiri district.

Unidentified armed robbers shot and killed Agaba who had responded to an alarm at Step Up bar in Kiyanja cell, Ruharo ward which the robbers had attacked.

One person was arrested in connection with the murder. He was identified as James Tumusiime a Boda Boda rider from Kiyanja cell, Mbarara City.

Now, Col. James Mwesigye the Resident City Commissioner Mbarara, says that the gun was recovered from a suspected robber identified as Dominic Twinomugisha, 19 years a resident of Katete cell in Mbarara City.

Twinomugisha was arrested in Rukungiri municipality last week following an armed robbery at For God Electronics where one person was shot dead and another injured.

Police records indicate that the recovered gun SMG NO UGPOL56582399632575 belonged to Agaba.
