Four people are being held by Police in Namisindwa District on allegations of killing their colleague whom they suspected of having an affair with a wife to one of them.
Rogers Taitika the Elgon Region Police Spokesperson says the suspects were arrested on Sunday following the brutal murder of the deceased.
He identified the suspects who reportedly ganged and beat Isaac Ekiringi to death as; Mukwana, Fred Omeseti, Mika Obwana and Wanzala.
The incident happened in Bunandele village in Namboko Sub-County in Namisindwa district.
The deceased was accused by Fred Omasete of snatching his woman friend, identified as Irene Nelima Dorcus.
The body has been taken to Mbale City mortuary for postmortem as investigations continue.
The four suspects are currently detained at Namisindwa central police station. They will be arraigned in Courts of law and charged with murder contrary to section 188 and 289 of the penal code Act.
