A decomposing body of an unidentified man has been recovered from Nsube forest reserve in Nsuube village in Buwenge sub-county in Jinja district.
Herdsmen who were grazing animals in a forest reserve on Tuesday morning first sighted the body and informed Police who responded to the scene and retrieved it.
According to one of the herdsmen identified as Yafesi Kasiko, they saw dogs around a deserted area within the forest reserve. However, when they came closer to take a look, they found the decomposing body covered with dry grass.
The deceased is allegedly unknown to the local community, and locals suspect that he could have been killed from another area and his body dumped in the forest reserve.
James Mubi the Kiira regional police spokesperson says that they have already commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the man's death.
The body has been conveyed to Buwenge health center IV mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
