The State House Anti-Corruption Unit (SHACU) is hunting for four teachers of Madox Senior Secondary School in Kyenjojo district for alleged forgery. The four teachers have been identified as Apollo Timaka, Joseph Twesigye, Festo Bananuka, and Asanasio Kayondo.

According to Wycliffe Mukama the lead Investigator of the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, the teachers are wanted in connection to forging their appointment letters, posting instructions as well as minutes of the Education Service Commission (ESC).

He noted that following the prosecution of two teachers of Nyamango technical institute on November 4th, 2022, they proceeded to Madox secondary school to pick up the four teachers but they were nowhere to be seen.

Through forgery, the teachers managed to access the payroll and have been illegally earning government salary. He explained that the accused teachers neither applied nor sat interviews for recruitment as teachers, which means they were never shortlisted.

the Kyenjojo District Education Officer, Pelusi Kyaligonza says that she received information from the head teacher at Maddox secondary school that the four science teachers had failed to turn up for duty after a team of investigators visited the school in their pursuit over forgery claims.

She adds that they have communicated the matter to the ministry to ensure that learners are not affected in the remaining period ahead of examinations.
