The police in Rubanda district, have recorded a sudden death of a young male juvenile whose identity remains unknown. The incident was reported by Kwizera Katatsya, a 57-year-old resident of Karegyere cell/parish, Muko sub-county.
According to the report, the deceased was seen looking sickly around 10 am at Karegyere town center, where he sat behind the kiosk of Clare's mobile money point.
However, by 3 pm on the same day, the young boy was found dead in a seated position. The police were informed and immediately visited the scene to document it, while the body was taken to Kabale hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
Efforts to identify the boy and trace his relatives are ongoing.
ASP Maate Elly, the PRO of Kigezi says the police have described the juvenile as being approximately 12 to 14 years old, with a brown body complexion, uncircumcised, wearing a red jumper/sweater and black old tone jean pair of trousers.
He urged anyone who may be missing a loved one fitting the description to visit the hospital mortuary for identification and burial. The cause of the young boy's death is yet to be determined, and investigations into the matter are ongoing.
