Authorities in Kibaale are investigating the brutal murder of Edward Tuhaise, a local Boda boda rider. Tuhaise, a resident of Katuma village in Mugarama sub-county, was found dead over the weekend.

According to reports, an unidentified individual posing as a client hired the deceased at around 5 pm on Friday evening. The client asked Tuhaise to transport him to an unknown destination. However, during the journey, the passenger allegedly turned on Tuhaise, repeatedly striking him on the head with a hammer.

The assailant then dumped Tuhaise's lifeless body in the nearby Kaborogota River before making off with his Bajaj motorcycle registration number UFM 406E. Concerns arose among local residents when Tuhaise failed to return to his Boda boda stage.

His body was discovered floating in the Kaborogota River on Sunday morning by community members.
Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson, confirmed that the authorities swiftly retrieved the body and transferred it to Kibaale Health Center IV for a postmortem examination.

The examination revealed that the deceased had sustained fatal injuries inflicted by his attackers. Hakiza further stated that an intensive manhunt is underway to apprehend all those responsible for this heinous murder and bring the perpetrators to justice.
