Findings from the autopsy report of the Late Internal Affairs minister, Gen. Aronda Nyakairima has been presented to the nation by doctors led by Mulago hospital led by PS Asuman Lukwago.
According to a report read out by deputy ED Col Shaban Bantariza th general had Red eyes, enlarged heart, damaged heart muscles, heart vessels affected by excessive fat. Lungs were enlarged.
Cause of death is stated as acute heart failure. These were read out by Bantariza on behalf of the PM Ruhakana Rugunda who could not attend.
He explained that no postmortem was done in Dubai because the pathologists would have to be registered practitioners in Dubai.
Team of Uganda Pathologists present at the Press Conference at Uganda media center were Mulago health PS Asuman Lukwago, Dr Omagino, Dr Byaruhanga and Dr Lukangi.
The report was done at City Mortuary in Kampala. Pathologists explained that Cause of heart failure was excessive fat. Fat was found both in and out of vessels. Aronda was active thus increased activity.
