Uganda's fallen Internal Affairs Minister, Gen. Aronda Buried

A seventeen gun salute roared in honour of the four star General, Aronda Nyaikarima as he was laid to rest at his ancestral birthplace at Nyakiju in Rukungiri district.

Thousands, including president Museveni, gathered to bid farewell to the gallant officer eulogised as committed to serving the state.

Aronda died last Saturday on his way back to uganda from a foreign trip, and according to results from a post-mortem examination released Thursday, the minister died of an "acute heart failure due to extensive and irreversible blockade of the heart blood vessels".
