The Uganda traffic police director Stephen Kasiima has revealed the identity of the owner of a commuter taxi that knocked and caused the death of fallen legislator Susan Namaganda.
Addressing the media at the police headquarters in Naguru, Kasiima identified the owner as Pascal Ssenyonga of Mutungo who has been summoned but failed to appear before their officers. Mr. Kasiima explains that it was the commuter driver’s fault that the accident occurred.
However, they do not know if Ssenyonga was behind the wheel or some other person at the time of this accident. According to the police director, the driver ran into hiding immediately after the accident but promises to find him.
Now, they want Ssenyonga to come in and explain who was behind the wheel.
“We want the owner to tell us who was driving that vehicle, was it himself? And if he was himself, what happened? Because we were not there. We have his number.” Kasiima said
